St Lazare

Great Blue Heron

My daughter and I went on the BPQ outing at St Lazare today. It was a nice and cool morning at about 17 degrees Celsius. The sky was blue and clear. We meet a group from the south shore. King was interested in buying a super telephoto lens for shooting birds. He looked at one at the camera store. I let him try mine out for a couple hours. I used his 70-300 while he was using my Sigma 150-600.

I took a few shots to get the feel for his lens.

After a few hours, I got my lens back. I got a shot of a Great Blue Heron on the other side of the pond.

That all for today’s walk.

  1. Great shots! I wish I could do the same.
Thank you so much Calvin, for letting me try your Sigma lens. I am very appreciated because I would have bought it if not for your offering me to try it first. Now I found it too heavy after using it for about two hours. Besides I couldn’t take good pictures like you did with the same lens due to my poor photography skill. Therefore I’ve decided not to upgrade my lens at this time.
Thanks again and have a nice Sunday.
