I went on the BPQ Summit Woods walk with Jane. It was a cool morning and no humidity. There were 5 of us walking today.
.
It was a quite morning not much activity. We heard chickadees, nuthatches, and others. There was a Pileated Woodpecker calling out. It was up in the canopy. I managed to get a glimpse of it as it flew off. I noticed two Turkey Vultures flying above us. I got a shot of their tail.
We heard an Indigo Bunting. I found it with some help from my friends. On a branch. in a distant tree was a blue blob. I managed to get a shot.
There was an American Robin looking for lunch near the trail.
I noticed a Butterfly on a branch.
We heard a Black-throated Green Warbler right above us. It took a couple of minutes to find it. It was not easy.
We called it a day.
On my was home, I decided to check out the Technopark area. This is undeveloped land just north of the airport. I walked around for about half and hour.
I spotted a Song Sparrow by the road.
I found a pond with Mallards.
and Dragonflies.
and an Eastern Black Swallowtail Butterfly.
That all for today’s walk.
