I woke up early and went for a short walk at the nature park. It was bright and sunny today. At little bit nippy, about -3 degrees Celcius.
A few Canada geese were honking in the distance. I eventually found them on the far side of the river. Lots of Ring-billed Gulls by the dam.
Along the trails, I heard quite a few Northern Cardinals. However, I couldn’t spot them. There were lots of Black-capped chickadees everywhere.
Some Red-winged Blackbirds scattered around staking their territory.
A few downy Woodpecker pairs chasing each other.
I found some Dark-eyed Juncos.
Nearby, there were three Mourning Doves.
Lots of Red Squirrels scurrying about. This one is looking for a handout.
That all for today’s walk.
